The recent closure of the Strait of Hormuz saw the oil price lift, but buying in the market accelerated following Donald Trump's latest Truth Social post.
Anxiety has struck Australian motorists again as the price of oil has risen dramatically over the past 24 hours.
If sustained, analysts say this could lead to more hip pocket pain at the pump.
